Low Power Touch Screen Controller with SPI Control I/F

The AK4185 is a 4-wire/5-wire resistive touch screen controller with SPI serial interface. The AK4185 incorporates a 12-bit A/D converter, enabling a precise measurement of pressed location its pressure. The AK4186 offers an automatic continuous measurement mode and complex sequential measurement option with MAV filter preprocessing, allowing a host controller to save its computing load. The AK4185 operates with a supply voltage down to 1.6V, and is available in a chip-scale ultra package, allowing the device ideally to be used for portable/mobile applications which require high performance touch screen sensing with low power and small footprint.
